I’ve only been a Dahn Yoga and Brain Education practitioner for about four and a half years. I know that the nature and quality of the programs are such that after each one I feel like a new person who is ready to take on the world.
And then you have to go back into that world. And then you have to make the dreams you’ve just discovered a reality.
That’s the trick–and that’s one of the things I think Dahn Yoga founder Ilchi Lee has been trying to teach for the past 30 years. He wants people to keep that enthusiasm and not fall into thinking, “That’s just the way the world is,” or even, “That’s just the way I am.” To do that he recommends daily practice of exercises and principles; never giving up hope; careful planning, reporting, and checking; and giving your 100%, among other things. Dahn Yoga offers a supportive community and a structure to help with the process of growing and achieving your heart’s desire.
But what about when you feel really heavy, can’t muster up any enthusiasm, don’t want to do the exercises you know will make you feel better, don’t want to talk to anyone, haven’t written a report in days, don’t know if you’ve done anything useful, and are running at 5% energy? Remember that everything you need is inside you already. Don’t blame yourself and don’t blame the system and don’t give up on your dream. Just take whatever smidgen of will you have and focus inside yourself. If you are already focusing inside, go deeper. You will always get what you need. Always. And then you can keep going.
This is the one ounce of what I’ve learned that I can offer people starting on a path of infinite personal growth through Brain Education.
Thank you for your words of encouragement – I can always find a “smidgen”
of will; I just need to focus it inside myself when I’m “running at 5% energy!”
